The Drivers Club at Dominion Raceway is a membership club for motoring enthusiasts who like to utilize their sports cars and race cars for what they were made to do — go fast!. Members have exclusive access to 40 or more member-only track days a year, on an exciting and challenging 2-mile road course.

Located in Thornburg, VA, it is within an hour’s drive of both Washington, DC and Richmond, VA. No longer do you have to spend half the day driving to and from the track. In fact, members can easily enjoy a half day on the track and still make it home for dinner.

The Drivers Club also offers members the opportunity to connect with people who have an appreciation of HIGH-PERFORMANCE machines and the art of driving. The Drivers Club at Dominion Raceway is the place where you can do it all!

Director of The Drivers Club

Jim Lorimer

The Drivers Club and Road Course Driving Events & Track Rentals

Jim was raised in Virginia, graduated from Virginia Tech, and has had a passion for things that go fast for a very long time. He has experience racing cars, shifter karts, motorcycles, jet skis, and even sailboats. He has driven on tracks all over the U.S., to include Road Atlanta, Mid-Ohio, VIR, Indianapolis Raceway Park, Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Putnam Park, Michigan International Speedway, and the Long Beach Grand Prix street course.  He also has been on some international tracks; to include many track days & time-trial days on the GP track in Brno, Czech Republic, and even a lap of the Grand Prix of Monaco track in Monte Carlo!

To add to his motorsports resume, Jim has 5 years of experience as a corner worker, mostly at Mid-Ohio Race Course, but also at the IMSA street race in Columbus, OH, and at Nelson Ledges Road Course in Northeastern Ohio.  Jim received his SCCA license while racing Spec Racers, however it expired while he was off racing jet skis professionally.  Jim enjoys the people, the cars, and of course the time he occasionally gets on track, and welcomes everyone to come “get on the track”, no matter what you drive and what your experience level is!
